Victoria Second Slice + Vancouver Megabite

Well last night I went out to 90's night at Lucky in Victoria.
Over my time in Victoria, late night pizza at second slice has become an absolute in my staggering towards cabs and main streets in hopes of getting home. I usually am really hungry when im really drunk and last night was no different. I emphasize this strongly: the pizza - most notably the garlic cheese, WHEN INTOXICATED, is mind blowing. Under no circumstance would I get 2nd slice when I was sober. The pizza is garbage. However, coming home from the bar, the garlic cheese is my pizza of choice. I usually go with 4 pieces, with as many of the 4 being garlic cheese as I can get.
Garlic Cheese from Victoria Second Slice garners a 7.5/8 on the intoxicated pizza scale. It tastes amazing, and is reasonably cheap at 1.50/slice, with combos and pop being offered up for usually around 50-75 cents more.

Megabyte
pizza is another place i usually visit in vancouver which i dont mind going to if im sober, but its mainly a late night pizza place. Its got a wide variety of choices of pizza, and their location downtown granville offers an HD tv...with no HD cable...for your viewing pleasure. The pizza itself is generally of average quality, but i definitely appreciate the degree of choice late night. The atmosphere is not overwhelming, as most servers dont speak too much english but all in all, its a pretty decent place with cheap pizza, as its also 1.50 per slice. As an added bonus, they offer a selection of hot sauce and ranch sauce to dip or put on your pizza. Their pepperoni slices - a must in a successful pizza franchise - are good, much better than 2nd slice in victoria. However, they do not offer up a garlic cheese option - to my recent knowledge anyways, and this hurts their final score.
Darryl Keeping, an avid follower and contributer of ideas to this blog thus far, summed up a 3rd party view of Megabite, stating that "megabyte kinda rules." I agree with Darryl's view that it kind of rules as there are better pizza places to go during any other time, but late night, it comes down that megabite is the place to go. I give megabite pizza a 7.3/8 drunk pizza rating on the now copyrighted "Slice Scale" as my favourite type of pizza isnt offered there but there are numerous selections, the line moves very fast, and they have a few added bonuses for customers...although most times the washroom isnt one of them. On a sober rating, I would rate Megabite a 5.0/8 as there are better places to go, but the pizza isnt awful by any stretch.

Thanks for reading, and heres hoping you find a slice of luck in your day today!
