Hey everyone,
This is my first blog and my goals are to review as many pizza places in Victoria and Vancouver (mainly vancouver now cause ill be here for summer) as possible. In addition, I'll also be throwing in some sports and beer related articles as well to cover the broad spectrum of my three interests for the most part in Vancouver.
Well its my first entry, and my first review will cover Athene's Pizza on 3618 West Broadway, roughly at Alma and Broadway. Each review will consist of a rating out of 8 slices and a summary of quality and bang for your buck.
Heres a quick review if you're interested about the place as a restaurant.
I ordered a large pepperoni, and the cost was reasonable. It had a good ratio of sauce to cheese/meat and the crust was pretty damn good. There may have been a bit too much oil for, but only by the smallest bit. Overall, the pizza itself was cut into 8 pieces, all pretty even in size. I ate 4 for dinner, had one coming back from the bar and 2 this morning.
When eaten right out of the box, I would probably give Athene's a solid 6.5/8 slices, a solid start to my first rating. Eaten cold the next morning was also quite good, and on the cold side of slice ratings, I would probably give it a 7 as its pretty delicious I have to say.
